Vision Board Workshop
“Create a vision for the life you really want and then work relentlessly towards making it a reality.” ― Roy T. Bennett; The Light in the Heart
Without having a dream, a vision, the hope for a bigger and better you who would achieve more than you are at any particular moment, life becomes a dreary and mundane existence. If one does not grow, you do not stay stagnant – you shrivel and die – just as in nature. The tree is forever reaching out to the sky and the river is not too timid to flow over rocks.
The Vision Board Workshop is for everyone; a businessman, a teenager (especially grades 8 to 10), building your dream home – it is different for every person and for every journey there is a road.
How does one find that road?
This could also be called a goal setting workshop. Start with the end in mind and then work backwards, step-by-step to find YOUR road. Planning down to the smallest detail leads to success and the human brain with its visualising abilities can be trained to taste and feel the goal – that overseas holiday, that new car. What do I have to do to get there? Part of the workshop is to, with cut-out pictures, create that dream – seeing is believing. One cannot reach a goal without exactly knowing what it looks like, it would stay a vague image.
This workshop provides the tools and guidance, highlighting every facet of the journey and the reasons behind it. Why do you want what you want? Imagine building a home – start brick-by-brick until it resembles the vision. The building blocks can be identified as:
- Why do I want to do this? – Just as a hobby, to keep busy or to make money?
- What do I need to get there?
- How long will it take?
- What am I prepared to forego to reach that goal?
Maybe you are already an entrepreneur, but wish to branch out, to attain a bigger goal. The taste of personal success is sweet and once experienced and understanding the journey, we as humans had been created to go further.
This workshop is also ideal for team building – getting your vision out to the rest of your staff – “being on the same page.” It can be undertaken by mixed groups and is not age dependant. It works for the CEO with 150 employees and for the lady who bakes birthday cakes from home.
